Walter Floyd Thomas Sr., 83, of Walton went home to be with the Lord Friday January 22, 2021 at home after a long illness. He was the son of the late Kenna Francis Thomas and Della Burton Harmon Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erma Jo Johnson Thomas; and son, Walter Floyd Thomas Jr. He was also the last of his siblings. Walter was an Army Veteran. He was an engraver for Aim Communications. An accomplished story teller, jack of all trades and master of none. He is survived by: daughter, Theresa Gibson and her husband, David; son, Todd Thomas and his wife, Terri; nephew, John Burgess of Woodlands, TX; fur baby, Ellie Mae; 5 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 2PM Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Board Cemetery Clendenin with Rev. Dana Clay officiating. Matics Funeral Home Inc. Clendenin is in charge of the arrangements.
