Richard Clair Moore I, 67, of Walton, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior April 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Taylor and father, Opie Moore; sister, Bernice Moore; and two brothers, Larry A. Moore and Eugene Moore. Rick was a devoted Christian and teacher to many of the Word. He was a loving father, friend, Musician and Song Writer. He worked in the Coal Mines of WV and a Locksmith, loved hunting, fishing and CB Radios and Trading. Richard is survived by: fiancée, Regina Hively and her daughter, Cindy Lea, who knew him as "Pops"; his two children, son, Richard C. Moore II of Walton, WV and daughter, Susan R. Moore of Smith Mtn. Lake, VA; one sister, Bernaetta Moore of Arnoldsburg, WV; 5 grandchildren, Samuel Hunter Mason Moore, William Nicolas Moore, William Caden Adam Cary, Remington Renee and Logan Hawken Kia; 2 close cousins, Brenda Mitchell and Steve Hively of Texas; nieces and nephews, Jessi, Robbie, Mike, Crystal, Lisa, Amy, John and Susie; also, so many close to him that knew him as dad. Rest in Peace Father you will be missed and loved forever. A graveside service will be held at the Moore Cemetery Mt. Hope Road off Ambler Ridge Road Walton, WV at a later date.
