Melissa Dawn Hawkins, 39, of Elkview went home to be with the Lord Tuesday December 27, 2016 at CAMC General after a short illness. Missy was a member of Reamer Gospel Tabernacle. She also attended Living Faith Church in Marmet where she sang with New Light and Power gospel music group and played the flute in the Praise and Worship Team at Living Faith as well as at Reamer Gospel. Missy was an employee with the WV State Auditor’s Office. She is survived by: husband, Gerald Hawkins; daughter, Hope Elisabeth Hawkins; parents, Jay Ray and Deborah Sue Blackwell Ray; brothers, Steve and Matt Ray; sisters, Pam Clark, Patricia Ray and Paula Cox. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday December 31, 2016 at Reamer Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Clarence Deel officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church from noon to 2:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date in the Ray Cemetery Elkview, WV.
