Larry "Buzz" Waynewright Statts

Larry Waynewright Statts, 74, of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday October 14, 2018 following a long illness. Larry was the son of the late Harry Dexter Statts and Evelyn Faye Statts. Larry was a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School, class of 1964. He retired from the IUOE and Steelworker’s Union. He attended Clendenin Advent Church in his later years, where he was baptized. Larry enjoyed woodworking and coon hunting in his spare time. He was a true patriarch, and was very proud of his family. He was a hard worker and would lend a hand when needed. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Dexter and brother Harry Lane Statts. His is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy June Statts; children, Mary Elizabeth Barnhouse (James Kevin), Sandra Sue Morris (Mike) all of Amma, and Larry Jason Statts (Christina) of Clendenin; grandchildren, Kristen Barnhouse Wood (Nick), Kayla Morris Shaffer (Josh), James Kameron Barnhouse, Larry Austin Statts (fiancé’ Tabitha), Nicole Cobb, and Brandon Morris; great grandchildren, Colton Shaffer, Kallan and Miri Wood. In addition to his mother, Evelyn Faye, he is also survived by a sister Vickie, brothers Steve and Jeff. Burial will be in Statts Cemetery; Gabe Road, Clendenin.
